Lovina was founded in the 1950s by a Balinese nobleman, Anak Agung Pandji Tisna. He went on to build the first guest house which is still operating today as Lovina Beach Hotel. His vision was to showcase the beauty of North Bali to the European tourist and provide economic opportunities for the local community.
