Pool

The Villa pool is 9 mters long, 3 meters wide and 1.5 meters deep. It holds approximately 40,000 litres of water
There are louvres that you can control from fully closed to fully open allowing  you to use the pool in sun or shade.  The temperature is around 20 to 22 degrees and feels great when you are hot and sweaty from the 30 degree 85% humidity which is Bali all year round. As you can see from the photograph the pool is quite close to the lounge so if you feel like a little dip its only a couple of meters. And in the evening, at the far end of the villa, there is a cane table and 4 chairs for your evening pre-dinner drinks.

We supply pool towels in both bedrooms and request that you dry off before coming back inside the villa

Garden

The garden, although small, is well maintained and contains a range of tropical plants.
There is seating in two different areas. Close to the main entrance there is a bench carved out of a solid log where you can sit comfortably in the day long shade. And of course there is the big lounger for the sun worshipers.

At the back of the villa there is a paved area with seating for 4 people and great for lunch, morning or afternoon tea, and of course evening drinks.
If you are there at the right time you may be lucky enough to be able to pick fresh Mangoes off the tree at the back.

Lounge

The lounge, kitchen, dining area is open plan and the lounge suite has been hand made to our specifications in from solid teak in Jepara, Java. It has been designed fit comfortably in the relatively small space. The lounge opens up to the pool with 6 sliding glass doors with voile curtains for a cozy effect at night.
Whilst the lounge is a modern design the artwork is totally Balinese. The typical Indonesian "marble" floor is softened by a carpet square in the seating area,
There is a 50" Smart TV with a Sony surround system for a relaxing night at home. The manager will instruct you on how to set the system up. If you have Netflix, AppleTV, or any other subscribe movie channels you are welcome to use them. Please remove themf rom the system before you leave.

Dining

The dining suite was also custom hand made in Jepara from solid teak. The cutlery and crockery is from the kitchen cupboards, (unfortunately the wine, from NZ, was consumed after the photo was taken.
Crockery and cutlery are located in the kitchen cupboards and are suitable for a group of four people.

Place mats are on the table and we ask that they are used at all times to avoid scratches and other possible damage.
,
Please do not take dining room furniture outside as it it is interior funiture only.

Kitchen

The kitchen contains everything you need to cook your own meals. Electrical appliances in indonesia are generally low wattage due to many houses having a maximum of 900 watts. Most villas, including Aroha, 3,500 watts. For this reason the toaster and microwave take longer than you may be used too. The gas bottle will be replaced by the manager when it is low.
The manager will also replace the drinking water should it run low. The dispenser offers three choices: Hot water; ambient water; and cold water. Place the container under the outlet and press down on the button at the top of the dispenser. Hot water has a child proof red slide to prevent scalding.
You have a full sized fridge freezer so keeping your beer and white wine cool shouldn't be a problem.

Bedroom

The picture shows bedroom 1, (Master Bedroom), which features a large mirrored wardrobe. The ensuite bathroom is accessed by a sliding door in the passage way. At the end of the passage there is a private, locked mirrored cupboard which we use for  housekeeping. The bed is firm but soft topped and quite high to cater for people with accessability problems.
Bedroom 2 features 2 single beds to cater for.....
Either 2 children
or two couples travelling together.
Both bedrooms are fitted with Air conditioning units.

Bathroom

The two large ensuite bathrooms are similar in size and design, the one shown is Bathroom 2. The both feature flush toilets, 20 litre water heaters for the shower and powerfull showers. The hand basin is ambient water only.
Using the bathroom:
The bathroom floor is tiled and can be slippery. Ensure you use a bath mat when you come from under the shower. (If you need another mat talk to the Manager).
20 litres of hot water is sufficient for two normal showers of 3 minutes or so. Extended use will use all the hot water which will take a couple of hours to regenerate.
Using the shower:
(Use the hand shower only. The Rain head in Bathroom 2 will deplete the hot water in quick time).
Turn on the cold water first. THE RIGHT HAND TAP AS YOU LOOK AT THE SHOWER
Turn on the hot water tap slowly until the right temperature is achieved.
When you have finished turn the hot water off first
Be careful getting out of the shower area and always use a bath mat.
